Francesco Sardella will mark fifty years of work in 2028. From a first small studio in Jesi to a barn in an olive grove, by way of the research labs of instrument makers, master classes abroad and — today — artificial intelligence applied to the arts.



1975
He begins studying classical and electric guitar. Everything else starts here.
1978
He opens his first recording studio. Soon after, his first 45 rpm single, “Garage privato”, is released by RCA Italiana.
1980
Still a student, he joins the General Music R&D lab as a MIDI-expert musical engineer and sound designer, and registers with SIAE as composer and author.
1985
He graduates in violin and in electronic music composition from the “G. Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro, and receives honourable mentions at the Russolo-Pratella competition in Italy and Bourges in France.
1989
The move from Jesi to Monsano and the conversion of a barn in an olive grove. Pink House Studios is born, today PinkHouseLab.
1991
He founds the independent label he still runs and produces: more than 170 titles across classical, contemporary, jazz-rock and world music.
1990s
R&D collaborations with GEM, Lem Professional, Korg Italy, Ketron, Farfisa, Fatar-Studiologic, M-Live, IRIS and Bontempi: specifications for new instruments, MIDI applications, sound algorithms.
2000s
Among the very first Pro Tools users worldwide and the first in Italy. He teaches master classes at New York University, Florida State University, Radio France and UFBA in Salvador de Bahia.
2020
During lockdown he directs more than fifteen concerts streamed from theatres across the Marche region with the FORM orchestra, several broadcast on RAI5.
Today
The work now centres on documentaries about historic artists and bands, on directing live streams, and on building generative instruments for live performance.
